The fact that it really isn't a very difficult quiz made me feel particularly cheated by the definition given to an 'island' in question 7!

Pah. I'll take a lump of rock with sea all round it and on which people have - briefly - lived as an "island" over a peninsula any day. And the Hebrides are many islands, not "an island".

It really pisses me off when you get a quiz answer right and the quizmaster rules it wrong. At a quiz last week the quizmaster insisted the last coronation was in 1952.

My (Scottish) school's Schools Challenge quiz team lost a quarter final in 1980 because the (English) quiz master insisted that "STV" stood for "Single Transferable Vote" and nothing else.
