Tim Woodson from Missouri, USA built his pirate ship the "Gypsy Rose" around his 1977 Carver Mariner in just 70 days.

Brilliant!
Its almost on par with the Urban Pirate's good vessel 'Fearless' that pillages vessels in the vicinity of Baltimore harbour in the Chesapeake - here is a link :

And in true American style it has to have some serious horse power - twin Volvo 225 hp duo-props (on a pirate ship?) and even a bow thruster.... after seeing that splendid pirate ship Gypsy Rose being transformed from a humble Carver, I am thinking that there might be a 50' Bertie (or Carver) lurking inside the Urban Fearless...... :)
