Engine is out of boat.
I am trying to remove the bellhousing from the engine. Its is a bit tight.
Once the bell housing bolts are undone I assume the thing should pop off with a bit of effort.
I dont suppose I am suposed to undo something else, because its stuck!
anyone?

Hi
I assume you are talking about the flywheel cover, bell housing same thing just checking. Yes you are right , normally remove all the bolts, check none under a protective plate on the underside between cover and block. Some engines have locating pins to correctly place the fitment of the cover, these can sometimes 'hold' the cover in place, also the actual drive shaft has been known not to want to come out, just a bit of gentle persuasion is needed.
Hope this helps.

Well I got it off.Damaged the flex plate though.I had to remove all the flex plate bolts via the starter motor hole. One just would not move so I damaged the flex plate.
Once I had the bellhousing/flexplate assembly off ,I managed to separate the flex plate ,that bolts to the flywheel ,from the splined shaft that goes through the bellhousing with a bit of WD40 and patience. It was rusted on.
