How to shorten shower hose

I there a way to take off the end fitting from the hose so I can cut off a metre to make it shorter, and then reattach the fitting

Alternatively, can I buy a new end piece from somewhere?

Cut it in the middle cot off as much as you want and then insert a narrow piece of copper tube and secure with small jubilee clips.

By the looks of it a standard shower hose available from any B&Q type store

Usually the sleeve is crimped on to a standard hose tail. You can cut the sleeve off, shorten the hose by an inch and then secure it with a hose clip. If you want a hose clip on a shower fitting, that is.
