How to sell a boat?

This is not a 'for sale' scam. Some friends of mine have a 40 footish Solaris Catamaran for sale, wanting to trade down in the UK. The boat is in Greece and despite advertising in the UK, through things like Yachting Monthly, have had few people to look at it and those seemed to be people with little idea of the nature of a 20 YO Solaris.

They are planning to set up a dedicated web site for it. Has anyone any ideas of where people who might specifically want a heavy catamaran at a reasonable price, might be looking?

I will second mainmarine, sold a few boats via this site and it does not cost a penny, it takes a while for an unsual boat to sell, it needs the right person, after a while you can spot the time wasters a mile off !

The best place to sell a multi seems to be http://www.multihullworld.com/. Whenever I have talked to them they know their stuff, they are multifanatics not just another broker.

I have approached them as both a possible seller or buyer and both occasions they have been spot on and seemingly totally honest about stock, what stock is moving, what is not etc.

Must be worth a chat I think!

I would try http://www.multihullcentre.co.uk - they are very good at selling catamarans and that is only what they sell - good at selling - I purchased my Prout though them - nice people as well
