How to select a sea water temperature reading on Raymarine instruments?

I just posted this thread on the MoBo forum, but it popped to my mind that some non-moboers could also be able to contribute, so I thought to post the link also here. I would suggest to keep all replies on the linked thread rather than here, just for simplicity.

Although it's easy to re-calibrate it from the display head.

Mine always shows 20 degrees .... although that's because I don't have a sensor at all but just a fixed resistor which is nowhere near the water.

Mine says 104F in theberth right now, I still work in old money.

I never found mine accurate but it didn't bother me.

Never had a problem with mine. I've not checked it against other sources but its readings are entirely plausible.
