How to search the Small Ships Register

I use this:

My boat is on there under my name, but it shows her as 6 berth rather than 10 so I'm not sure where that came from? Definitely not me.

I'm new to this so please excuse my ignorance, but isn't the SSR registration necessary if you want to go to France?

I'd forgotten about this tiny use case for the pointless list so would like to retract my previous statement, I have registered on the pointless and poorly maintained list just in case I go over the channel. Now both me and the previous owner are registered owners, thanks to the totally unfit for purpose website which is also running TLS 1 so is not secure enough to use their online payments safely ? I really need to leave the UK soon!
