How to sanitize/disinfect teak veneer without damaging surface.

Could someone kindly tell me how to sanitize/disinfect, (neither lightly clean nor revarnish/refinish) teak veneer in the cabin. The small size of the boat means I am conscious of how mud and other thick dirt (including from dogs) gets within inches of the galley space, along the sole, etc., and there is veneer by the sinks and the cooker particularly. What can I use that will not damage the surface? I want to do more than wipe down the veneer with washing up liquid etc. I'd like to sanitize it. I'd usually use a disinfecting agent regularly in the kitchen but I assume a kitchen type spray/dettol will damage the surface of teak veneer.

The world is not sterile and is not supposed to be. Visibly clean is all that is necessary. Use water and a bit of fairy if you must.

If its got an oiled finish there are som kitchen worktop oils that are anti bacterial..

Ordinary household anti-bacterial spray won't damage the surface.

As others have said, ordinary spray is fine but if you have particular worry, why not varnish the offending veneer with a couple of coats of satin which will protect it properly. You can then throw anything short of paint stripper at it with no fear of damage.

In the Caribbean the disinfectant of choice appears to be Vinegar .... It appears to work certainty on mould...?
