Well, you know how it goes, ...

Sat here last night thinking, about time I ripped out the useless chart table area and put some proper seating in... so after some dutch courage.. well, local brew.. out comes the crowbar and lump hammer..
Jayne has gone to Sada for the day, so it will be a "surprise" when she returns lol...

oooops...

me thinks me needs some new wood.... and more beer !!!

Now, that anchor locker needs to go too, hmm, wheres the epoxy and a tad of marine ply.... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Alan, do you have the PH version of the M60,, vewwwy nice !...

Yes, old is good, just a bit of interior alteration....

At least now I can get to the darn water tank on the port side, convert it to diesel, add inspection hatches.. and build a sofa with storage lol...

If I survive the wrath of Jayne... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

See the pics of a MAB being turned into a marina cruiser.

Seats rather than a chart table seems a strange priority. When will you be putting the geraniums in?

huh ? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Chart table is a total waste of space, its like this geranium dood....

you have a saloon table, no use at sea, great at anchor, so you use it for charts at sea.. also, the use of a plotter is far safer than a gps paper combo..

no contest.. I once tried this on an X302, unfortunately the boat fell apart around the wood... but thats new fangled contraptions fer ya eh ???

You could have saved yourself all that work simply by getting a mate to mention to HMC&E that you had just arrived from Columbia. They'd have done it for you! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Cap'n, could you perhaps post a few more photos, and / or perhaps a plan of the accomodation layout so we can see everything more clearly?
I thought that chart table looked rather nice, but there again a desk or table can never be too large with me - always gets used!
I hope you will post some 'after' photos as well in due course......

No, the Deck Saloon design is much more recent than my boat (now 18 years old, and maturing nicely), a traditional Centre Cockpit Frers design (bit like a HR). My boat is the only ketch they made though, and has a "vivid red" (awlgrip colour) hull with white coachroof and rig - all very much standout features...

The Nauticat 42 does not come with a chart table. I use the saloon table and when we eat I put the charts away. Doesn't take a minute.

no probs, will post piccies as the rip n build goes on.. the end result is planned to be a full settee type seat to port. New electrical cupboard.. place for the kitty litter etc..

all good fun... not clean fun, but good fun.. Jayne is looking at hotels ashore, I cant uderstand that ??, stranger creatures women........

oi what you doing on 'ere then? You should be hard at it on your van refit ...I mean boat refit.. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
