hello all,

Wanting to replace the anodes on the bow thruster and one side was easy to get off, but as usual with boats nothing goes easily and the side where the thruster is furthest from the side (offsest bow thruster) will not come off.

Any advice on how do get this off please? The tunnel is preventing me from getting to the side of the anode to try to prise it off from the side.

PS - ignore the centre nut in the pics as that was removed when I was trying but put it back to prevent me losing it then took the pics.

It is probably calcium deposits between the anode and the flange. Douse it in vinegar. This is what Sidepower suggested to me although I shan't find out if it works until next April when I try to do the same.

This is what are called basin tap pliers

The head will turn 90 degrees to the handle to allow access down deep holes.

Also a small set of oil filter removal wrench may also be used

This is what I did last year , I used a muittool blade on mine the vibration was enough to loosen it .
See if it work again this year .

Tried all the other options inc pick tools to no avail..next try is the multitool as want to get it off and changed ready for when we are back in the water mid feb!
