How to remove rust on deck metal work?

Hi in my earlier post i suggested you use a stainless wire brush and some metal polish but taking a closer look at the picture of your hause pipe would i be right in saying it is chromed mild steel?

Don't forget: Once you've cleaned the rust off: (There a number of methods that work)

Spray grease is great for filling in all those metal nooks & crannies. Spray on, wipe in & wipe off. Fills gaps with grease rather than water & helps keep the rust at bay!
