Hi. Following the saga of getting the right oil for my md1, I have today tried to change it.
I used the oil suction device I bought and after removing the dipstick housing managed only to get out 600 ml approx of filthy black oil. The dipstick showed no oil, so poured in about 1.2 litres of new oil. When I checked the level again, it was topped up, but the oil was filthy again.
I am now looking at the dipstick level and am slightly confused. You have to unscrew the dipstick to lift it out and am not sure if you wipe it and screw it back in, then back out to read it, or do you just push it down and then lift it out. The level seems right if I just drop it back, but is over the max line if I screw it back down and then out again.
Hope this makes sense!
Regards
