'Lifeguard' inflatable, 18yrs old, in good nick for its age; BUT the rubber strips covering (perhaps reinforcing?) the bonding of floor to tubes have been steadily separating for some time.
About five years ago I asked a professional liferaft servicing outfit (which had been doing my liferaft for ten years) to re-glue those strips for me. They began to separate again within months.
I suspect that one problem, apart from the difficulty of access to the surfaces on the inside floor-tube joint, was getting the material truly clean and ready to accept the adhesive.
So, from any professional knowledge and experience of forumites:
What are the best cleaner and adhesive, please?
All contributions gratefully received.

What adhesive did they use? it must be 2 part, normal contact adhesive is useless, but I would be surprised if pro,s used 1 part. I CAREFULLY use acetone for the final clean before glueing.

I've no idea what the service workshop people used: I collected 'out-of-hours' and the office could not tell me.
I normally use propyl alcohol (or meths if I have to) then two-part rubber adhesive for external repairs of mussel-cuts, and it lasts fairly well: but I'm hoping to find the very best cleaner and adhesive combination!
