how to Polish the blue hull of our Karnic

Thanks C, how are you by the way, long time no see :)

Our Karnic is indeed a very versitile boat, but i think that the brits look a bit differently to boating in that respect,
much less trailer boating, and not adventureous / crazy enough to tow a +3500 Kg rig through the country, let alone through europe
but anyway the boat might hopefully find a new enthousiastic (and young :);) ) owner.

We are all fine, I gathered from MapisM you folks didn’t spend much time aboard BA last season, but I guess not many did given the circumstances.
The boys still talk with great fondness of the Sardinian experience in 2019, a big part was the BA cruise and the amazing hospitality shown!

It will be difficult to part with your Karnic when the time comes, but as you say, its a great shame to see a boat sitting with no use after being part of the family boating experience over so many years. We felt the same about our Bertram, but we needed to upsize and spend more time aboard.
Cheers B (y)

I noticed in your avatar that you upgraded, did I miss that, or you told me, and I might have forgotten
what is it ?
what happened to the Bertram ?

Hello Bart,
hope every is ok for you?
I sold the 2460 3 years ago and bought a new 2760 witch is perfect, still fishing out a lot , cruising to corsica this summer.....
Do you still cruise a lot?
Best rgds
François

the Karnic 2660 is on the trailer in our warehouse, and has not been used in 2020 and 2021,
so need to make work; finish cleaning and put her up for sale,

the last few years we were on Blue Angel in Sardegna, (Cagliari) this year we went up along the west coast of the island,
next summer hopefully visit Corsica , let me know if you go there again :)

Sorry Bart, I’ve only just seen this post!

We moved up a couple of sizes to do some longer and more distance cruising to a Sea Ranger 46, and the little Bertram was sold. We are very happy with the Sea Ranger so far.

It sounds like you folks are staying in Cagliari for a while longer, such a great location to cruise from!

Hi B,
Thanks for the update.

It really goes to show that the bigger boat does not equal more fun! We have clocked more (engine) hours on our Searider SR4 (4M RIB) - When the weather suits, we often leave the 'big' boat at mooring and go for extended spins in the RIB. Infact, in the winter, when the weather suits, we often complete 65mile round-trips for lunch!

well I have to admid that we sell the Karnic bcs we spend more time on the bigger boat,
and that we became a bit too old for the trailer boating, I also gave up with the diving,
but the pics in the reports above testify that we had some outstanding adventures with Aegir,
and that she is a special kind of model, a bit in its own league :)
looking back at all that, there is a very sad feeling selling her !

Surely you haven't stopped diving from BA?

while she was in Montenegro & Croatia, we only dived the first year, since then we completely forgot about it,
last year I did one week of diving in south Sardegna, (not me but 5 diving guests),
that was nice, but I can do without all the faffing :)
gear still onboard: 2 compressors, 5 dive tanks, lead, 2 dive sets...
