Can any of the experts on Spain on here advise on how to get between Viveiro and either Asturias or la Coruna airport please? Both directions needed for crew change. Date around May 27.
Is there a good website for internal travel in Spain?
Thanks.

La Coruña to Vivero is a very longwinded bus/coach ride,Asturias much of the same..Coruña would be a much better crew change over port,or Sada.

That was my instant response to the skipper - esp as boat is coming up from Portugal - but he seems determined on Viveiro as a better starting point for Biscay crossing.
I'll look at Gijon.
Buses hourly from Asturias 36 minutes (acc to Google maps)!
Thanks.

Car hire is pretty good value in Spain currently expect to pay less than £20 per day...worth considering especially with strengthening pound?!

Really? I've been looking at that. Best I can find online to pick up at either Asturias or Coruna is £65 for a day.
Problem is we would want 2 arriving crew to get the car and drive to Viveiro and 2 leaving crew to take the car back but of course the rental co will want to see all drivers' licenses.
I can't find a rental co with a depot in Viveiro to inspect the leaving crew's license.
Always the little things that cause time consuming headaches isn't it!
Have you any particular contacts to suggest please?

is there not a small coastal train runs nearby?..... some years ago now but seem to remember one!

I have found that you can get by train from Asturias and by bus changing to train halfway from Coruna, but both are slow and leave too early for incoming flights!

Sadly not I am afraid. I suspect there is a away around the problem if you book in advance in the UK through one of the large hire companies eg. Hertz but I am not in a position to give you any more helpful advice...sorry and good luck!
