Hi we have recently refited our MacWester 30' but it has developed a new vibration noise after about 15h.
we checked the ususal but nothing. so any ideas would help. Some more info, noise is present when motoring and sailing with the gearbox in neutral but goes when in put into reverse.
During the refit we replaced the following:- Engine + Mounts, Propshaft + Prop, stern gland + cutlass bearings, R&D coupling + shaft flange clamp.
In short everything is new so has something moved or worked lose but I dont know how to find it.
Any Help appriciated.

is it OK both sailing AND DRIVING in reverse? (reverse while sailing may just stop it turning) . Live outside the med? try drying out and checking the bits you can't get from inside.

If confident nothing is loose next check alignment. 15 hrs is about the time it takes it all to shake down.

Thanks to all.
Managed to dry out this weekend the stern-gland/cuttlas bearing has worked lose. Got the boat lifted looks like it's winter layup starts early :-(
