The hull/decks look a little grimey....no heavy soiling....just not quite the way I'd like (I think I have a touch of OCD :D).

Is there a 'relatively' easy way to clean her whilst on the water (thinking of unpleasant deposits into the environment)?

Seen various comments about oxcylic acid, others about a product called Y10, cilit bang etc....

Ideally something I can use all over the GRP before polishing.....

Alternative is also to get someone in to do it I suppose and use my time enjoying her rather than cleaning :-)

Cheers

Its a very good but environmentally friendly boat cleaner. Not sure if its stocked where you are but it can be bought online at Cormorant Trading. Its all we use now on our boat. Works great on the topsides, hull, canopies, vinyl seating, interior, bilges etc.

Its the only cleaner we now carry, plus we have some at home for the oven and other kitchen and bathroom cleaning.

Nice one! All rounder too so saves a cupboard full of bottles :-)
Thanks!

Once you have tried it you wont go back to anything else. Its more cost effective to buy it in 5 litre concentrate by the way. A 5 litre bottle lasts us over 12 months and we clean our boat a lot :D

Cleaning

Just with a spray bottle. Wet the boat down, spray on the EVM (60/40 mix for general use), agitate with a brush, rinse off, stand back and admire, then reach into the fridge for a cold bottle.

Splendid!......almost easy enough for SWMBO to do then :D

Now......where's that cold bottle?

ps....please dont tell her I said that or I KNOW where I will find that cold bottle!

Water?!!

If it is not badly soiled, why not just use a bucket of water (you could splash out with a tad of car shampoo!!) and a sponge and/or soft brush?
Trouble with a lot of "cleaners" mentioned, they can take off any residual wax which hastens a dull surface.

We wax ours every 12 months when she comes out for her annual spruce up. We dont add any between spruce ups and she always seems quite shiny. It will eventually dull down the finish if you never polish or wax though as will any cleaner.

THANKS for this recommendation. My order was delivered yesterday so I tried it out whilst we were on the water with SPECTACULAR results!

What a great product! The downside was the p*ss-taking from my friend who was onboard with me...decided I'm now Mr Mop as I couldnt resist trying it out on different surfaces....
