How to attach engine room soundproofing?

We've got a sheet of fire retardent soundproofing for the enclosed o/b engine well. How do we stick it to GRP? It has a hard silver finish for the outwardfacing side and foam for the side to attach to the GRP. I was worried that unless I used the right adhesive it would fall off!
 
When I bought several sheets of the same stuff I got a tin of spray on contact adhesive thrown in with the deal. This is 'contract' adhesive, much stronger than the stuff I have found in B&Q etc. It seems to work well, I'm not too sure about the fire properties though. I guess by th time any fire has got through the aluminium layer and then the foam layer the properties of the glue are going to be academic anyway.
 
The recommendation from the man at the Halyard stand was to use evo stick or other strong impact adhesive. It's also good to apply some pressure, with bracing or whatever, on vertical or overhead surfaces during the 24 hour setting period. I found that (like attaching headlining) the liquid goes a lot further than the spray on solid surfaces but that the spray-on is more economical on the foam. Whether it sticks as well is a moot point.
 
I have used a contact adhesive the last two times that I have done this. I got through loads of tins of the stuff that you can move a bit when you first stick the things together. Can't remember the trade name, but I got it from B&Q. and I think that the tin had a blue motif.
 
I recently had Tec7 recommended to me by a friend for a job I was doing. I was actually insulating the outside of an integrated coolbox/fridge and wrapped it in 2 x layers of foil backed house insulation. The Tec 7 was very very good, the insulation was foil backed both sides with a bubblewrap type material in between. I was sticking it to bare gel coat and the Tec 7 was just he trick, just make sure you clean as you go. Should be ideal for the sound insulation just make sure you put a bit on the corners & edges.
