Chap over the other side had a barny with his neighbours about running his generator during sundowners. This was his list of portable 'lectric gear:

3 x mobile phones
1x Nintendo DS
1x electric shaver
2 x PMR radios
Hand held VHF
water scooter
remote control boat
Laptop computer
MP4
etc

Do you have any gear that you simply must have charged up at any cost?

PS: What is an electric scooter.

Firstly, I think you should show a little more understanding, you see, mobo jockies are not sailors, they do not even use the same terminology......For instance, and these are gleaned from their own postings....

They don't go astern, they reverse.

They don't sail their boats they drive them.

They don't come alongside or moor the boats, they park them.

Even their boats are a totally different animal.......

For instance.....

They have kitchens, not galleys.

They have patio doors.

They have bathrooms and toilets, not heads.

They have bedrooms, not berths.

For them, the sailing isn't what it's all about, it's about going from one marina to another, so they can pose someplace else.

I am sure that I could dredge up a whole lot more, but I think I am probably in enough crap as it is! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Full Circle has a generator, but not fitted permanently.

I am off to buiy a WhopWhopWhop AirX wind genny now. That'll really upset you all.

You were charging one of those to use.... In the Solent....?

I assume you are fully versed in the colregs as applied to an underwater vehicle whilst operating in a restricted fairway?

Hairdryer
Curling Tongs
Washer/Dryer
Portable Ice Making Machine
2 Fridges
Electric Kettle
Toaster
Ceramic Hob
Microwave/Grill/Steam Oven
Foodmixer
Blender
Electric Blanket (but only in winter)
Wii/Wii Fit
3 x TV's/DVD Players

I forgot to mention the Aircon
and two Erbspatcher heating units
and our Bath Tub - (thinking of having a Jacuzzi unit installed in it)
and the Iron and ironing board
and the hoover (I could not survive without a hoover)
