How sad - Miss Miggs

Miss Miggs was owned by friends of ours and it was sad to hear of their loss, but you will be pleased to know that they were fully insured and have replaced her with Miss Phoenix, another Freeman 22 which we saw out on the river last weekend.
 
So sorry to hear this , the old F22's are a special boat ...

A good name for the new boat though ...

Not just the loss of someone's prized possession but a loss of a classic boat to mindless vandalism. What makes it worse is the knowledge that they will never be caught and even if they were they would just be 'told off'
 
Very sad news, I hope the idiots who are responsible die of Cancer very soon. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Can you stop going on about people dying of cancer , my mum died of cancer a couple of months back , its a f***ing horrible thing to watch a loved one die from , and you wishing it on everyone is starting to grate a bit ...

For all it's worth, I'll try very hard not to use that comment again, but you're out of order giving me a bollocking in that context. It wasn't supposed to be a nice comment, but certainly not aimedat anybodies loved ones either /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
 
Sure, but what did I do that I need to apologise for?

I'm not going to patronise anybody by pretending to feel a personal loss for somebody I never knew, nor was my comment aimed at anybody who any forum members care about.

Any deliberate comment, and I would have been grovelling apologies, but this was one of those unfortunate things, and entirely unintentional.
I'm in no doubt he'll see it that way, and rest assured it won't happen again, so no harm done.
 
Far better a way of expressing your feelings against the turds who wrecked Miss Miggs would be to say "I hope their bollocks rot and drop off" we can all live with that.

Can you stop going on about bollocks going rotten and dropping off, …Our cat had it happen to him/her a while back and I can assure you it`s a bleedin `orible thing to happen, …in fact it shouldn’t happen to a dog…..cost me a fortune in vets bills so brings back painful memories….
Cat didn`t go much on it either…

No harm done No_Regrets , its just a touchy subject with me at the moment , and was getting me down a bit ...

Uncle Albert , i have no idea if you are taking the piss out of me with your remark based upon my initial post ( i hope not ) , i rather suspect that your cat didn't die of rotten bollocks , as you so jovially attest , whereas my mother did actually die of cancer after months of suffering . I have no problem with wishing doom and destruction upon people per se ( i do it myself a fair bit ) it's just the cancer comments are a bit near the mark. No_Regrets wasn't to know so we'll leave it there.
