Having looked at upgrading our Sealine MY 2005 S28 for a S38, a deal at which appears to have fallen through, I keep coming back to considering a C39

There is one that has been advertsied for quite some time, that is fitted with Trimax drives & Yanmar 440's

Does anyone have any particular comments on this combination, esp with regards their reliabilty as well as general comments on the C39.

I know there was a post a while back on the C39, but wondered whether there were any further opinions that someone would like to air?

Many thanks.

I might be cheeky and add that I have my S28 and a fair chunk of cash waiting for anyone that has a larger boat that they might consider the above for in part exchange for a larger boat. She is fully loaded (Raymarine E80, DSM 300, Radar,Comar AIS etc etc). Photos in my gallery within profile.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained ........ :-)

Trimax drives should give Shaft Drive reliability.....

If two speed gearboxes, that will be the weak spot... the 440's should be OK

Props will be expensive if you damage them .... and if not properly designed, you may be surprised on lack of thrust in reverse...
