How Noisy

Would it be if I had webasto warm air heating fitted with the unit under the helm seat on my Absolute 41? I am told there is nowhere in the engine room to fit it.

In the cockpit, noisier than if it were in the engine room but not nearly so bad in the accomodation if it's done right. Are you sure somebody's not just offering the easy option (for them) as far as fit goes. I am assuming it's one of the new Evo 3900s.

Is there a way to get fuel line to under the seat, and a way out for exhaust. Is it to be used just for that area? As the smaller one is quiet, the one for 36 ft plus boats is noisy.

We have one of these, in the wheelhouse under the bunks, near silent and fires up every time.

Thanks for comments, I am now waiting for an e-mail from Trevor who supplied the boat who has some interesting idea's including using the existing air con ducting.

Well it should be well insulated at least, make sure it's capable of continual transport of hot gas at 130deg as a minimum, the spec will be available somewhere. Also make certain that the total length / Dia / bends / vent combined resistance does not exeed specs for the heater proposed.
