I am sure that some of you have seen the films and know that the boat is a great little thing to have around

kids could use it like a wave ski, or a canoe and old blokes can sail it

a bit cumbersome - but it could provide a lot of entertainment and tows very easily

how much would you be prepared to pay for a tupperware version with an optional oppy sail

here it is in action

Unless the design goes "viral" not enough to make it worth a manufacturer to do the tooling... without a rig you might as well buy a canoe??

In the old days we used to have ployethylene (washing up bowl plastic) windsurf boards... carbon fibre stringers to make them stiff... so hard chines can be done... heavy though...

Not my cup of tea so no answer I give would be representative.. or maybe I am.... :D

A better option perhaps would be to get the plans converted to CAD and then you could spit out any number of CNC cut panels at very low cost. As already proved Dylan, you can build one from scratch in 7 days so I would imagine apart from painting a CNC version would go together in a weekend.

As a finished recreational craft it would have to comply with the rcd. Ie totally uneconomic. Sell plans or cnc kits for home completion no worries.

Only if it is over 2.5m - but Cat D is not demanding so long as it floats.
