how much weight can this trailer take ?

it would normally have a plate on the A frame giving such details, but I can't see one in the pics. A bit similar to one I had too, and I think mine was about 2600kg (but that included the trailer weight). I'm sure I ran over weight, and all through France with no problems.

I sold an almost identical one for £1500 about 15 years ago and it was 15 years old then. Had 20 phone numbers lined up to call if the first didn't want it, they sell really easy.

There looks to be a mark where the plate used to be! Why???

The loads on a yard trailer are way less than on the road though. So if it was road rated for 2000kg, you would probably be ok at 2500 as long as it was walking speeds and not being towed on a road.

At walking speed for 500 metres I expect it would take 10 ton…

I think it looks fairly lightly made. Be surprised if it was more than 2000kgs rated. But the reality is…for just a yard trailer…most of them will take so much more than the rating.
without being a smart arse…if it says it’s 2500kgs gross…that means it’s rated to a weight, minus the weight of the trailer itself. So this trailer is like at least 500kgs…just for example. You’ll likely be aware anyway. Thought I’d mention it though.
