How much money for summer and vinter in UK east coast marinas?

Someone thinks you are just playing a joke on us

But the people who have answered you are giving good information. So if you don't mind me mentioning that you have sent me a message, then I can confirm that you are certainly Swedish speaking and have a good, seaworthy small boat.

I will reply as soon as I can get help from my friend to translate your message.

Re: Someone thinks you are just playing a joke on us

I can't answer that, I'm afraid, because it isn't me that has suggested it. I doubt if you will get a reply from the people that have done so.

I think most people know that there is little or no tide in the Baltic. If you do come here, that will be one of the most important things to understand, because the tide is so important in sailing here. The waters around the coast are quite shallow and you have to make use of the tide all the time - both in knowing where you can go and when and also in planning your sailing to make the best use of the tidal stream.

How do they spell 'wind up ' in Sweden or is it Vind up

[/ QUOTE ]

In Sweden we say: 'Vinda upp' or 'Vinda', witch means for example when you winding an electric-cable around a bobbin.

Example:

Du måste vinda kabeln på rullen = (are): You must (or have to) wind up the cable on the bobbin).
But we are saying: Du måste vinda UPP kabeln.

UPP in swedish means: Upwards.

NER in swedish means: Downvards.

The cable does'nt goes UP on the bobbin, it goes ON or Around.
It,s a slappy behavior here to say: vinda UPP, but most of us talk in that way.

Do you understand?????

Thank you Tradewinds!!!

In the same time you draw, I draw to clear and explain my original message.

Oh now I see! In Sweden we say 'rita'* and it looks like your world: 'Write' and in case of that, i wrote: 'Draw' except for: 'Write'
After this lession i'm gonna spell: 'Write' exept for 'Draw'

I maybe begin to understand why you think i,m a joker! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Sorry!

* 'Rita' is the world 'draw' in Swedish.
