How many failed ocean wanderers?

One of my favourite things about cruising is the people we meet. I don't think I'd enjoy cruising somewhere where I was always the only boat in the anchorage.

Of course it's possible for a place to become saturated to the point where the sheer number of boats means that there's never enough space to drop the hook, and the locals come to resent the cruisers. I think out of the pieces we've sailed it's only the Balearics where I would say the number of boats would put me off returning.

As with most things, it's best to find a happy medium.
Yes I would agree it’s the people both on other yachts and local people that really make the trip worthwhile and it must be said the extraordinary experience that being in a small boat out at sea is.
