How long to hear back from a broker?

Yes, thank you, I'm aware of her and part of her history of how she ended up there. Interesting boat, she looks like a Super Swordsman but in fact is a later conversion. Poor thing.

Still nothing heard....

If you dont want the boat for what you've offered, just withdraw your offer - the right amount of time to wait before doing this is the moment you decide you dont want it.

If you do want the boat for what you have offered, call the broker and ask how they are getting on with your offer.

Simples really?

Sorry bout the drift
Could I ask about Eun Mara please,I feel sad for her,a sorry place to end up.Yard bill was being paid last time I asked.

Ring the broker, what you got to lose,if it's the one I think it is it only wants a bit of Patio Magic on the decks and she's good to go :D

She was taken in PX against a new Swordsman 37 or 40 about 10 years ago, when put ashore at Hamble point the keel sustained some damage, its a bit of a weakness on the Swordsman 33, she was taken up river and the late Peter Foulkes, master Fairey shipwright, fixed her, she then sat ashore at Hamble Point for sale for quite some time. From there she went to where she lies now.

Thank you.
Extremely sad to see a classic just left to the elements.

A crying shame.
Maybe true what they say,the 1st offer is usually the best one you'll get!
Those decks look a whole heap of heartache on their own.

Never sure about Faireys with teak decks - they look like trouble and in any case are usually not original to the boats.

They can be troublesome, when the caulking lets go, eventually it always does, rain water can rot the ply sub deck. Teak on ply decks are always a ticking bomb, not just on Faireys.

Teak decks very common on the Huntress 23, certainly all the navy ones which is more than 50% of those built. Most 28's had teak from the factory, except the race boats which were kept light. On the 31's I think all bar 2 had teak. Similarly on the Swordsman 33 most had teak, I can only think of one 33 without and that wasn't factory finished.
