Forgive the petrol engine intrusion ....
FoMoCo ..... Special Vehicles Devision ... who produced the 2.8i Capri.
Two basic faults .... first was the rear #6 cylinder never rec'd full injection charge and always ran very lean ... a trick of competition guys was to install a 7th injector ..... That lean burn used to burn out that back cylinder over time. Second was the lack of sufficient oil drip feeds in the gearbox ... FoMoCo refused to adapt the box and went from Hi Viscosity Gear Oil to Egine Oil to Hydraulic Oil ... of course Ford badged bottles ... which if you used any other brand - invalidated any warranty on the box.
