How long can a fuel line be ?

I would like to move the fuel tank for my outboard but it would involve adding extra fuel line ( maybe 1.5M ) extra to whats supplied with a plastic tank and priming bulb . Is that a doable thing or will i be causing myself problems ?

had a 6 metre fuel line made for my 15 hp yamaha-----worked fine regards lenten

Should be OK.

It could, however, be a problem if the rise became too much for the pump but I assume you are not wanting the tank to be several feet below the engine!
