How long before we are in the firing line?

While I prefer happy threads particularly at the moment and I think this one is rather depressing. I had this thought:

Up until now Future generations have had and I think have expected 'more' than the generations had before them.

Will we soon be approaching a time where this will be reversed............... Now I am the depressing one :)

i think that you are right but then it was always going to happen. Resources are finite and at some point things will run out and with living standards rising around the world things will inevitably become unsustainable. An uncomfortable truth that many ignore on the basis that it is a future generation‘s problem. Not a particularly heart warming thought!

I would tend to agree not too hart warming............................ Unless perhaps people are actually happier when they live a more simple life with less. Wanting more can cause you to work longer hours and get stressed more. I am always intrigued by the multi millionaire who is say 65 years old and is still working to put money one a heap that is already so large they cannot reach the top or ever use the money at the bottom

Sounds realistic to me, B.P.

Onward isn't always upward.
