I cancelled my lift in this morning because of a forecast strong winds with heavy rain and gales to follow, over 90% confidence on Magicseaweed.
This morning there is cloudless blue sky and 12 kts of wind, the gales will now be Force 4. :nonchalance:

I have two forecast apps on my phone, UK Weather and XC weather. They're unanimous about 30kts + gusts all day, and wet until the clouds are well over the yard arm (whenever that is).

The trees are in agreement about the wind, but no rain yet in Southampton.

We were fortunate, our club lift in was last Saturday and, while it was cold, it stayed dry in spite of the forecast up to a couple of days beforehand and there was little wind.

It rained quite heavily overnight in Plymouth and was briefly quite windy. Yesterday was beautiful and rarely above 20kts, with up to 35 and heavy rain forecast.

The only hint that Tuesday could be settled was one of the forecasts on Windy which stuck out for a very different conditions than the rest, I think it was ECMWF9km. I discarded this as it did not stack up with the rest.

Took a friend out on his Beneteau 331 this morning. We were going to go across to the small island of Lobos but it meant a bit of a beat back. So we reached up and down off Playa Blanca then anchored off Papagayo beaches for a sarnie.

Back in now and Ive caught the sun a bit.
