/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gifEr! Why? In order to float the hull shape must at the very least displace a volume of water of equal weight to the boat's weight. If you could make the whole boat watertight and 'push' it under water it would displace a volume of water weighing greater than it's weight and bounce back to the surface once you finished pushing it down.
