How has your season been

Not done quite as much boating this year as we would normally but not for negative reasons thankfully, just a combination of factors including re-discovering the delights of biking and new to me Harley 🏍️ 😎

Still managed one or two nice trips but on the last one the weather did its usual thing and forecasted wind meant we had to head back a day or two earlier than planned.

Isn’t owning a Hardy and a Harley the ultimate oxymoron?

Been our first full season with the new-to-us 460, had some superb weather, lovely solo trip to Weymouth for a few days, pottering about the Solent, a few nights in Chichester. Mostly trouble-free apart from flat thruster batteries caused by a wiring fault, and a loose EDC connector lost me control on the P gearbox. Fixed by Seastart (kudos). Hopefully a few more weekends to come this year.

Well, our season started in March when we had tne boat on the hard in Izola/Slowenia for a couple of days for new antifouling, then cruised south to Dubrovnik, across to Vieste in Italy, south to Sizily, Malta and will go back to Sicily and lay up for the winter in October.

Next year we will continue via Sardinia, mallorca, Spain direction Gibraltar or maybe Portugal. We take our time and spend time in locations where we will have friends/family visiting us. Was it good ? of course but of course there has been problems to solve. Spent 4 weeks in Brindisi because the previous owner had topped up the hynautic engine controls with oil (its written with big letters NO OIL). And, of coure the fuel is not the main cost of having a boat...
