Hey everyone can you help please?

Just wondering how good (or bad) the MDL WiFi is in Sant Carles?

Thanks very much! :)

Rubbish, I'm afraid.
Some are still using it with some success but most of us these days buy 3G,4G,5G connections.
Either roaming UK contracts or, as I have recently done, a local SIM only deal. The one I went for is called Lobster and it works really well. Their cheapest deal is 10 euros for 18 GB.
See here lobster.es
Or check out the discussions on our marina forum www.scmchat.com

It's fine. Get a cheaper wifi extender and you can pick up the signal anywhere.

Why pay??!!
Because you are dependant on the marinas internal policy.
WiFi isn't about just picking up a signal, its about being able to use it.
For example, Sant Carles Wifi cuts you off after a predetermined amount of time.
The quality you get from a 3G,4G,5G service far far far outstrips what you get from a Wifi connection, even with a "so called " booster.
Believe me I've tried it all over the years.
I even have a proper Wifi antenna on my radar arch

And the range that 4G provides far outstrips WiFi.
30 or 40 miles out from land and we are still often receiving internet.
Just pay the 10 euros a month - 8 quid for something that works isn't much IMHO

EDIT
Also with a proper internet connection, you can reliably leave it on 24/7
Here is a photo taken z few minutes ago from a security camera on my boat.
There are lots of benefits having a reliable internet connection on board.

Listen to hurricane on this one he is da man. He must be a Netflix junkie like me

here is a thought if you wanted to reduce cost could you ‘sell‘ your router wifi code to say your immediate trusted neighbour boats so as to 1/3 rd the cost

If you want to keep it really simple and pay a bit more, get a UK phone deal that gives unlimited or large GB‘s and an Amazon fire stick. (Mine also gives shared data to my wife)
A tip I got from @Hurricane was that a UK Sim thinks you’re in the UK when abroad so no need for VPN’s. Also if your 3G/4G is poor, the UK Sim data is not encrypted like a VPN so it’s more reliable.
I edit
I haven’t experienced it yet but I think there may now be a daily ‘Brexit’ daily charge for using UK phones abroad.

As Petem has said, that's all changed now.
But it isn't a Brexit thing. The mobile phone providers are also charging for roaming between EU countries. When I say charging, I mean they give you 25Gb data from your home allowance but charge beyond that.
Three in the UK are now saying that they will charge £5 per day to use any UK allowance over 25Gb so watch out.
IMO, the best way now is to buy a local SIM deal - lobster.es seems to work well in Spain.

I've done a lot of work on this recently. With a local SIM, outside the UK, you won't get a UK IP address so UK TV won't work. The solution is to use a VPN. I tried building my own VPN at home but it wasn't fast enough. I now use NordVPN which is about £35 per year but works really well.

I have also bought an Android TV box which turns a normal TV into a Smart TV. There are lots of Android TV boxes out there ranging from about £35 up to £199.
I chose the Mecool KM2 because it is licensed for Netflix and NordVPN can be installed. BBC iplayer can also be "sideloaded" and I have found solutions to the other UK terrestrial channels.
I'm currently in the USA and it is working well here as well.

EDIT
Here is a screenshot of the Mecool after I changed the launcher to make it less commercial.

If you wake up at 3 in the morning with something on your mind it's great, but as activity in the marina increases in the morning, you can see the speed deteriorate....

I managed to "work from boat" last August, but thankfully nothing time critical, as it was hit and miss. Even my Vodafone WiFi dongle struggled....

To answer your question good for emails etc, but not much else...
