The anode on the leg of my volvo saildrive has hardly corroded at all in the 3 years I've had it. I'm confident the connections are good.

Should I be worried?

It is good. Anode is for there to protect sail drive. How long it lasts depend is your boat a lot of time on shore power or have galvanic current with boats beside your.
Danger thing on Volvo sail drive is if 2 bolts unscrew and anode have not functioning or worse that screw enter in propeller and broke it (as it happened to me!). This screws you must check every year.
