now I am not talking hull holes etc this time, just how dry does she stay on the interior.

I have noticed some boats are dryer than others, now they all get a bit damp after a wet passage , normally as there is wet, foul weather gear everywhere.

but I am talking bedding, seating, clothing etc, Is it damp if left on the boat in the spring, summer and autumn.

Is the boat adequately ventilated? Our boat has no heating but plenty of ventilation and everything keeps dry, tools don't rust, no musty smell, matches strike ok etc. Fortunately she is in a very secure marina so hatches can be left partly open to get a good draught through the accomodation

Ours stays nice and dry with a fan heater left on board set very low. I am just waiting to hear if the hull is nice and dry as its having its pre sale survey today. Fingers crossed then i can go shopping for a new one.

Quite dry. We leave a dehumidifer on when we are not there. When it's cold though the windscreen does mist up quite badly. Probably need to invest in one of those demisters.

mmm double glazing /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Ours is pretty dry unless we have loads on board and don't get some ventilation going. I do tend to use a dehumidifier onboard on a timer over winter, but I'm not sure its really necessary...

secure marina

surely an oxymoron.
I leave the dehumid on all the time and two green house tubes during the winter months, one in the engine bay and one in the galley, always dry and warm

Not that dry when some instructor type person keeps doing this with it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif didn't know James Bond was really skippy in disguise..............

We just get a bit of condensation in the morns, because it goes from quite cold during the night to very hot in the morning (obvious year 3 science stuff), leaves a wet patch just under the each back seat on the floor which never seems to dry because it never sees the sun...

Its usually pretty dry, thats when i leave the bung in... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

All down stairs windows left open about 15mm or so and front bedroom Houdini rests on its catches, all lockers left ajar with bog door fastened back.
No condensation,no mould,no heaters,no dehumifiers,just fresh air.
Might lift cabin floor hatches if not using boat for extended period ie.whole week or mebbe even two.
