how do you tow a dinghy

With two ropes, ever since I lost one near the Owers, c/w outboard :0( ...in a flat calm!

Yes, I was young & (even more) daft then!

We tow with a painter through the towing eye and run back under the dingy (airdeck rib) and secured by looping round each of the sponsoons. Then all of the weight is spread round the sponsoons and the towing eye is subject to much less strain and unlikely to give way in rough conditions / waves.
