To include a pic with your post, you first need to load the pic to a server, so that it can be retrieved when your post is viewed. Most ISPs include free webspace where you can load pics. In extreme cases (such as this) you might "borrow" a pic from another website, although this is technically infringing copyright. Then, when typing your post, you include the link by putting:-
[image]url[/image]
.....(where "url" is the complete address of the pic)
The url you included isn't an image - it's an entire webpage. The pic you were trying to show has a different url (right-click on it and select Properties to see its url).
While we are on this subject, can you tell me how you put a web site address as a link to that site in a posting and also as part of personal details.
Mike
If you include the full website url address (inc http://) between [ url ] and [ /url ] readers will see the url and can click on it to go to it, eg:-
Sailing for Fun
Important note: I've had to add spaces around the contents of the square brackets in the examples above, to stop them working as links. If you use this facility, you should not have any spaces inside the square brackets.
It just depends on the size of the picture. If you right-click on a picture, and then select "Properties", you'll be able to see the url of the pic, together with its size in pixels.
