How do you know when the sailing season has started?

For us it was yesterday. An Italian motor boat came in, crew in speedos and blasting out music on full power when it was otherwise quiet and peaceful.
The sailing season has officially started.

And that the weekends that were free allowing time for endless amounts of antifouling are suddenly packed with unmissable social events for the rest of the family meaning that perfect sailing weekends are spent 40 miles inland.
