How do you add an attachmnet such as an excel file to a post

I tried to attach an excel file to an earlier post but when I went to "advanced" and then “manage attachments” it seems as if I can only attach files which have already been submitted and approved. I am sure I was able to load small files such as excel or the likes direct from my PC or is this another senior moment.

When you click Manage Attachments you should have an "Add Files" button in the top right of the window that appears. I don't know if they restrict the attachments only to images though?

Valid file extensions: bmp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg pdf png psd txt zip

Take a screen print of the spreadsheet and paste it into a Word file and attach that. Or a photo of it.

Thanks prv. I tried that following your post but when I tried to upload a file I seem to have exceeded my allowance. Problem now is that try as I might, I cannot seem to delete any of the files I no longer wish to use. I tried "ticking" the pics i did not want but i cannot see any icon or delete option. Why is life so difficult for an old £@rt like me.

Or a screenshot pasted into Window paint and attached........ I guess the screenshot route will only be satifactory for a small spreadsheet that can be viewed within one page.

Slightyly better perhaps to upload a screenshot to Photobucket at the maximum size using the "display my linked photos in their original sizes" option
