How do I find a boat to crew on?

Hi all,

I've caught the bug and taken my RYA Competent Crew qualification. I've been told I can finsd boats to crew on, by going on to crew websites ect.... how do I do this/which are the best sites.

I'm looking to crew at weekends around the Solent.

Rob,

Your best bet is to get into some of the local yacht clubs and ask around - alternatively look for a race day and trawl the pontoons, there is always someone after help. Be aware in the early days you may be rail fodder but from little acorns grow. Hope this helps.

You might want to look into the creseekers..they are pretty good..i have browsed the website and they offer decent services which will be quite good for you.

+1 for crewseekers. I've used them before both as crew and skipper. Worth the small fee they charge crew.
