How do I drill an angled hole for an Eber exhaust?

Davidwf came down today and very generously helped fit the exhaust. It was an absolute nightmare - in the end the only way of getting the angle right was to align the drill parallel with the ground and tip the whole boat over at a 45 degree angle. We tried to remember what the method was but neither of us had access to the forum so as a last resort we hired the yard crane to reorientate the boat. Still it's done now - with a decent swan neck it's OK to have the fitting on the water line isn't it? Hope so, I'm not going through that again!

Yep, that's fine, but make sure you only ever sail on port tack - That way it will always be out of the water !!
ps what size hole cutter did you use?

ITS BEST JUST UNDER WATER FOR COOLING AND REDUCES NOISE
While its out and the crane is there you may as well hire a swimming pool, fill it with antifoul and lower the boat in to get the waterline in the right place.
