How do I book a year in Barcelona

I'm currently in Porto di Roma and in the spring intend to cruise around to Barcelona to spend a year there from about June onward. The internet booking facility for Port Vell only allows bookings from March onward but I would like to secure things before then. Any ideas on how to do this /who to contact. Anyone actually there who could enquire about availability for me.
Is there a best end or worst end of the marina from a shelter/facilities point of view.
The boat is a 11m x 3.6m beam Sealine motor boat.

I doubt you will - suggest you make some fallback plans.
Port Vell boasts a 4 year waiting list (when i was there with a friend in April) and the booking facilities are only for transit yachts.

I am currently in Port Vell I arrived August 2003. At first I was told there were no berths available but then the next day they said I could stay as long as I liked!!
I spoke to Ingrid who was most helpfull (speaks good English)
The concensus seems to be if you turn up you will probably get a berth.

would agree with Pete, Ingrid is a very helpfull and pleasent young lady. Although there is a waiting list, if you are here and a spot comes available you are more likely to get which saves e-mailing people on the list who may, by then hae found alternative places.
