Re: Fuel costs

Will the price really rise by that much? (Not) Duty free fags, I think, are about the same price as they were before.

Re: Fuel costs

I know what you mean about the pyschological impact. I have to put petrol in and use about 40 quids worth to get from Poole to Cowes. That's not too bad in itself, but to think 30 quid is going to Gordon, that hurts.

Re: pay up!

I'm not sure that higher prices would result in more interesting neighbours. Flip side is that it might guarantee more stupid ones of course!

But it would be easy to start a conversation, no? Aargh 160 quid, we'll have fish paste sandwiches etc.

I personally think jfm should park the big boat at the folly and use the reserved space for the dinghy.

If not, praps park the big boat in reserved space and then ask to borrow cup of sugar.

Re: pay up!

or get small boat and do both!

or flatten the fish paste into a square, wrap a smidgeon of smoked salmon around it, call it "poisson terrine" and flog on the quay for £160 - amazing (patented) book balancing system.

Re: Fuel costs

Your guess is as good as mine, especially when looking several years out. All I have done is compare current red diesel with Derv prices.
