I think the car is just there for photographic purposes as the smart car in the pic does not have a towbar.
It's possible the smart is one of many cars that have not been homologated to legally have a towbar fitted.
Many years ago I had a 10ish foot speedboat, 2 seats with a 25hp outboard.
It was great fun and felt much faster than it probably was. Easy to launch !

'plenty of life left in it'= I haven't cleaned the weed, slime and critters out of it....

It's 25 quid. If it's in the right place at the right time, it might be worth fixing up, for someone who can't find anything else immediately.
Tenders are like that, when you want one, you only see projects or things to new and pricey. As soon as you start a project, someone will offer you something better for sensible money.

Facebook Market Place is indeed a wondrous place. There was a Fireball hull described as a fast speedboat (it was just the hull with an outboard bracket screwed on the back) and another Fireball hull being sold as a wave board. Anything more than a couple of sticks is described as " a project ".

Mind you when you see what you can get for not very much it can make you a little uneasy about your own boat valuation at times....? Not that mine was ever worth all that much....

Funnily I was marvelling at the prices people are asking for rubbish. As soon as lockdown was eased rashes of rotten crap appeared. All wooden dinghies have rot in the bottom of the transom. A sure sign it needs a shed-load of work. If they have been abandoned on their trailers for that long, what state are the sails in?

People are looking at being a bit short of readies and are trying for top dollar, in-commission prices for tat, because they see good boats at decent prices.

Give it 2 or 3 months and realism will hit home.

My father in law ( you don't want to do that ! ), used to change his car when the tyres needed renewing .
