£22.00 per night or £154.00 per week. Some people are travelling on less money than you presume without being drunks.

My biggest problem is the fact marinas have polluted nearly all the safest anchorages in the UK, you are left with little or no choice.

Please remember that not everyone thinks stepping off onto a pontoon is the be all and end all. From what I read and see, the better places off the Solent have been bought up and therefore it seemed that if I wanted to visit for a few weeks I would require a 2nd mortgage.

How old was Robbie when he made the movie, it is brilliant. Has he been making any more, would love to see his results. What camera is he using?

Thanks for the compliment. Robbie made his film about 2 years ago when he was 11 He used a Sony digital 8 camcorder that lets you do 3 frames at a time. He's now taken up drumming, god help us, I wish he'd get back to movies.
The Solent really doesn't have any equal in the UK for the number of destinations available to us weekend sailors. The (relatively) sheltered sailing
means sailing is possible in weather that would be untenable in more open waters. I guess that's why it's so popular.
