Scuttlebutt has sticky threads at times for boats tested by YM staff. Similarly there are threads at times from someone asking details/reviews of a specific boat model.
So what about the following suggestion?
An administrator to open various sticky threads somewhere (could be a completely new category if necessary), one for each yacht manufacture (eg Bavaria, Beneteau, Hanse, H.Rassy etc, etc) and we, forum members, will add comments and reviews for certain models we either have or have used. It should include only comments, positive and negative, for boats we know and own and probably comparison between different models of same manufacturer. If we start comparing different manufactures (mine is better than yours, mine still has the keel attached and this sort of things) soon the threads will become chaotic and meaningless. The idea is to create threads that will enable a, let’s say potential buyer, to find answers for specific model(s) he/she is interested about.
What do you think? And what the administrators think?
