I guess that if the big sharks arrive at Felixstowe (Deben not far away) they could place a net across to Harwich and protect the Stour and Orwell swimmers. I think they did something like this during WWII to keep submarines out so could be feasible !

Ahh, you know that them Debenites have already built the shifting bar to 'put off' invaders, coupled with lots of stories about them that have come to grief on said 'bar', all that 'folk law' and 'stories' are having great effect on deterring intruders away.

Humm, so far no sighting of Russia subs has been reported in Deben
