Houseboat sinks in Kingston

Prepare for more similar incidents as these “boats” get older, having had little if any maintenance.
Sorry, if the owner was a genuine person but delighted if it sends out a wake up signal to the others.

He appears to be operating commercial fishing charters on the Thames. He calls himself the Piscatorial Prince of the Thames.

Presumably his boat was licensed and must therefore has insurance. The minimum insurance required is for third party cover of £1,000,000. I wonder if this includes removal of wreckage and dealing with any pollution.

He may well be legal and licensed (which for a liveaboard around here would be a rarity). As a floating business(although one without a permanent mooring), one would image that he also pays the higher licence fee with considerably higher insurance costs, so he must be well covered.

Where are the “legal” houseboat moorings on the left above the bridge?
Is that where the half decent looking ex tug has been moored for years?
As others have said already, if legal/licenced he will have insurance.

Yes there. Outside the boozers.
