at work we were just discussing the new 'houseboat' that is pictured below, and a few questions were raised.
would it need a river licence or boat safety certificate.? I thought it wouldn't as it is within their property and not on the main river or a marina, plus although floating doesn't have a means of propulsion.
Not sure if there is a bedroom at the rear of the structure, but if yes, would it be a way of getting extra living space without having to worry about planning permission as not seen as a permanment structure?
I am no expert when it comes to these matters but just wondered if anyone knew the answers.
One of the guys at work who saw it the other week told his young son that it is actually a submarine (and that it was a periscope on the roof you can see), with big windows so they could see all the fish underwater !!
